Terse Verse Insight: 
Geshem is a Hebrew word meaning ‘rain’ or ‘shower’. Isaiah 55:6-11 says that God’s ways are so high that humanity fails to understand His generous nature that forgives and shows mercy. Humanity cannot go up to heaven, so heaven comes down like rain to water the earth. Without God’s rain, the world would be in drought. Jesus is the ‘rain’ that came down from heaven and put on flesh to clearly teach us His ways. God’s ‘geshem’ has poured down from heaven to bring life to earth once again.
